Sahiyo announces the Healing as Activism Campaign

During this 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence from November 25th to December 10th, Sahiyo will be hosting Healing as Activism, a public awareness campaign that uplifts healing as an important form of activism and seeks to break the stigma surrounding discussions of mental health, which often impacts survivors' ability to heal. While the physical health of a female genital cutting (FGC) survivor is often highlighted, it is important not to forget about the lasting mental and emotional impacts this harmful practice can have on survivors as well. During the campaign, we’ll amplify stories of healing from those impacted by FGC.

Keep an eye on our Twitter, Blog, and Instagram to learn more about the campaign.
